Planet X Mondo SRAM Red Team Edition Carbon Road Bike

Frame:
We've been working for over a year with Sarto, the finest tube-to-tube manufacturers in the world, and our top level sponsored athletes, to get these frames, and bikes to production. We've gone through extensive sampling processes, cable guide revisions, frame tube alterations, and we're now ready to launch them, at a price that blows the rest of the industry to bits, the Planet X Mondo.
We have used our well proven and much loved Nanolight geometry to base the bikes sizing around. The Nanolight has been our best selling high performance frame to date, and we're very happy with the proportional geometry on it, and we understand how it would be desirable for a Nanolight rider to easily make a swap to a Mondo, with the extra performance gains it would give them, but with the same geometry so that contact points are familiar.

Technical Details:
We've made a leap forward in technical innovation and kept the Italian theme going by using FSA's BB386EVO on this frame. BB386EVO is specifically designed to both optimise construction for carbon frames, and offer even more increased levels of drivetrain stiffness than previous systems. It's supported by FSA, and also has cup designs to allow 24mm Shimano standard axles to work in the frame, and also even allows you to use BB386EVO cranks in even a standard threaded bottom bracket!
To accompany this awesome frame and complete the frameset package, we've chosen Deda's Monocoque RS full carbon fork. It's one of the the highest quality forks around tested best in back to back analysis from our riders. At just 330g it's incredibly light, but tracks incredibly well due to perfect material positioning. The headtube and fork are of course tapered 1.5in to 1.125in standard, and take an FSA C40 headset (included).

Groupset:
SRAM RED - Black Edition is the first choice for riders and racers who won't accept any compromise. The most challenging races in the world have been won on SRAM RED - Black Edition, including the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Paris-Roubaix and Tour of Flanders. Exactly eight pro teams in the 2011 Tour were SRAM RED - Black Edition-equipped. Its success in the pro peloton speaks for itself.

Crankset upgrade and gearing options:
We upgrade the crankset to FSA's awesome race ready K-Force Light. It features hollow monocoque composite crank arms mated to an oversized extruded AL7050 spindle. We offer you the option of compact 50/34 or classic road 53/39, and you can mate this to your own choice of 11-25 to 11-28 gearing at the back, via the full PG1090 Red cassette to get the ratios you want for your ultimate bike.

Contact points:
Keeping the Italian theme, a deluxe Selle Italia SLR Team Edition saddle with carbon rails, sits atop an FSA KForce seat post. Bar and stem and Planet X's top end models, to give control and comfort with the compact drop, coupled with our anti shock bar tape.
