Our best-selling Pro Carbon road bike is a modern classic. You get a lightweight carbon fibre frame at a great value price, with balanced, accurate handling for all-day riding and racing and a smooth, comfortable ride thanks to the shock-damping qualities of carbon fibre.
The Pro Carbon is the ideal introduction to carbon road bikes: light enough to take the fear out of any sportive climb yet stiff enough to make sure you finish at the front of the final sprint.
If you've just taken up triathlon this bike will make a great training partner and it'll not let you down on race day either.

Components
We love SRAM Red at Planet X. SRAM Red shifting offers the highest pro level performance shifting available. With the top three from the 2010 Tour de France all using SRAM's top of the line group these pro quality components have already proven themselves as race winners with lighter, more accurate shifting than previously thought possible.
To complement the Red shifting, your Pro carbon comes with powerful SRAM Apex brakes for class-leading stopping power and control, and 50/34 SRAM Apex compact chainset with 11-26 rear sprockets so you can easily climb the steepest hills.
We haven't skimped on the other components of the Pro Carbon SRAM Red either. You get our famous light but stiff, CNC-machined handlebar stem, classic Strada shallow drop bar, Superlight Team saddle and 3D Forged Alloy Seatpost.
The Pro Carbon SRAM Red rolls on our new AL-30 wheels. They're already getting rave reviews from our customers, with one owner saying they're "noticeably quicker than my Dura-Ace 7850 carbon race wheels." And who are we to argue? Reliable Vittoria Zaffiro tyres sit between the rim and the road to keep you smoothly flying along.

Sizing Notes
All frame size recommendations are approximate. A good fit will also depend on the correct choice of stem length, correct bike set-up for the rider and riding style.
Correct frame size choice can vary greatly with riders' torso length. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso, go for a slightly shorter stem. If you think you are borderline between sizes, and you have longer legs and a shorter torso, go for the smaller frame size. If you have shorter legs and a longer torso, go for the larger frame size to get the extra top tube length.
As the frame sizes increase, so does the length of the head tube. If you are inflexible or perhaps have a history of back problems, consider going for a larger frame size. This will increase the relative height of the handlebars making the position less “extreme”. The larger frame will also have a longer top tube, so you’ll need to compensate for this with a shorter stem.
