Planet X Exocet 2 Carbon TT Frame And Fork
For time-trialists and triathletes, the Exocet 2 is the quickest frame we've ever made. If you can't go fast on this you might as well take up flower-arranging.
We made extensive use of computational fluid dynamics in designing the Exocet 2 to cut through the air, an engineering modelling technique that's as effective as wind tunnel testing, but doesn't cost thousands of quid an hour. We think you can live without pictures of guys in white coats looking at instrument panels and fans if it means you get a world-class time trial frame for less.
Experts like the testers at 220 Triathlon magazine raved about our original Exocet. "Even just clipping in and rolling off, the Exocet felt fast," they said.
"On a fast, twisting descent, the impeccable and responsive handling of the Exocet gave us the confidence to stay low and let fly. On to a fast, rolling stretch of road and, shifting slickly up and getting the big top gear turning, the Exocet really took off. We couldn't quite believe the speeds we were hitting and maintaining."
The Exocet 2 carries on the Exocet's winning design and adds improved cable routing for better aerodynamics and ease of maintenance, and a bit more tyre clearance. You can now use 23mm tyres for comfort on long courses.

Sizing Guide
The main features of the Exocet2 geometry are a short head tube, short top tube and relatively steep seat angle. This geometry is designed primarily to offer great handling, comfort and great aerodynamics when riding on the tri bars.
A well fitting triathlon or time trial bike will typically have a shorter top tube than a road bike for the same rider which draws in the elbows towards the torso to create better aerodynamics and increase comfort.

Sizing Notes
All frame size recommendations are approximate. A good fit will also depend on the correct choice of stem length, correct bike set-up for the rider and riding style.
Correct frame size choice can vary greatly with riders torso length. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso, go for a slightly shorter stem. If you think you are borderline between sizes and you have longer legs and a shorter torso, go for the smaller frame size. If you have shorter legs and a longer torso, go for the larger frame size to benefit from the extra top tube length.
As the frame sizes increase, so does the length of the head tube. If you are inflexible or perhaps have a history of back problems, consider going for a larger frame size. This will increase the relative height of the handlebars making the position less “extreme”. The larger frame will also have a longer top tube, so you’ll need to compensate for this with a shorter stem.
