They take ROAD LEVERS, clamp in MTB STEMS and have a much shallower drop than most bars on the market, which means you can ride on the drops far more of the time, have great access to the brake levers and descend steep stuff with far more confidence than you'd ever imagine (some say they can descend rougher terrain better on these than on a regular flat bar).
