We use a Smooth-Wall technology production method on our new Planet X Carbon 50 rims. This does away with  the traditional air bags used in most carbon  production  - it makes the internal surfaces as smooth and wrinkle free as the outer surface. The result is better uniformity of the carbon layers and reduced wrinkles or voids compared to normal carbon wheel production - ultimately this means greater strength, minimum risk of stress fracture and a significantly lighter , yet stronger carbon products  .

The new Carbon 50 Rims weigh in at a super sprightly 379g, you can buy them individually as rims, or if you  prefer we can handbuild them for you into your dream  pair of race wheels .

The Smoothwall technology is also used  the production of our team edition Nanolight and Exocet frames  - so if you want  to avoid wrinkles and have less stress look no further than our new 2010 frames and wheels .
