The spanking new Naonlight High Modulus frames arrived yesterday, we got a bit over-excited and thought **ck it lets build them up with absolute best possible components we can find. It was a wet-dream for the mechanics, all the latest offerings from Italy and Japan were brought from the warehouse - then came the big ask; 'can you build these up in time for Bike Radar?' As we type this the lads are frenetically building up these two beauties, you can hear them whistling with pleasure... come along to Bike Radar this weekend and have a look for yourself.

The New Nanolight: High Modulus Frames, stronger and lighter

The best has just got better, our boffins have been hard at work trying to improve our lightest carbon frame. The main improvements have been made by incorporating the latest smooth wall technology, which drastically reduces the amount of both voids and stress raises. This results in a frame that is stronger and lighter, we've managed to shave 100 grams off, the new Nanolight (black - no paint, size large) it now weighs in at a waif-like 979 grams. It's a lot more technical than that, but we'll leave that for another day...

Gloss Black Nanolight with Shimano Dura Ace Di2 Build

This build is like something from the future, Di2 from Shimano offers all the features of the design classic but with electronic shifting. The workshop looked more like an lab when this was being built. If you think this will never catch on try to remember when we all balked at the idea of index shifting. Full Dura Ace Di2 throughout complete with Shimano Dura Ace 7850 50 mm Carbon Clincher wheel set.
