Irvine Podiums at Commonwealth Games

Planet X Team rider Martyn Irvine rounded off his first week at the Commonwealth Games in Deli on the podium. Irvine led the Northern Irish squad to bronze in the 4000 meters Team Pursuit at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in Delhi.

He put in an incredible performance for Northern Ireland squad. The Planet X rider took a very creditable sixth place in the Individual Pursuit, with a time of 4.28.803 riding his new Planet X Track Bike

Following the pursuit, with a fine 7th in the 40km points race. He spoke to us just after receiving his medal Martyn said: "I knew we could do it, it was just a matter of going out there and getting it done, it worked perfectly to plan and I’m delighted".
 
Next up for Martyn will be a few days well earned rest before tackling the Road events, Martyn will compete in both the Road race and the Time trial where is looking forward to racing on his new Exocet.
